Snoopy was NASA's choice for their Space Exploration Mascot. Snoopy's first flight into space was to indicate when Zero gravity was achieved. The Smithsonian has a very interesting article on Schulz and his role with the NASA Space program. NASA felt Snoopy as their choice would help encourage interest with Children and the public in general with the Space program.
This 1969 "Peanuts Pocket Doll" is in immaculately clean condition. The slight damage to be noted is to his helmet that has very minimal scratches.
There is also some discoloration to the bottom of his shoes and a little around the top edge from the glue that attaches the blue part of the shoe to his foot. Please see pictures for all details. Box is in good condition and is not torn up but does have some wear. Please make sure to carefully read the description.
